Join our dynamic team at ALTHOM as a skilled Technical Author specializing in complex Land, Air, Sea equipment & systems.

ALTHOM is a high performing service provider in the the fields of Engineering, Technical data & Documentation, ILS Support & LSA, with locations in Germany and Greece.

As a Technical Author, you will join our Technical Documentation group with an objective to develop technical content for complex Land, Air, Sea equipment & systems, based on design drawings and engineering documentation. You will get a special training on applicable systems and structures, and you will get familiar with the processes of the creation of structured content compliant with all applicable norms, standards and specifications.

Full time, in Patras, Western Greece

Position Summary & Key Responsibilities

• Creation of technical manuals and data modules for systems & components according to specifications and client requirements.
• Creation and revision of Maintenance & Troubleshooting Manuals, Component Repair Manuals,
  Illustrated parts catalogue (IPC), structural repair (SRM) etc.
• Analysis of Engineering Documents & drawings
• Ensure harmonization with all relevant international norms and standards (ATA ispec 2200, S1000D/S2000M)

Your Profile:

• Engineering Degree (Dipl.-Ing. or MSc in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering)
• Extensive knowledge in interpreting technical drawings
• Experience in developing content in Adobe Framemaker, PTC Arbortext Editor or other structured content platforms
• Familiarity with maintenance activities and practices such as assembly – disassembly, removal/installation etc.
• General technical know-how of systems and services
• Strong IT/Data handling Skills (ie experience working with databases)
• Experience in Python will be considered as a strong plus
• Fluency in English: understanding, speaking, writing
• Knowledge of German will be considered as a strong plus
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
